Stocking Heel Stitch

Stocking Heel Stitch is a slipped ribbing stitch often knit into heels because it wears well. And it’s easy!

On two needles, start with any uneven number of stitches:

• Row 1: K1, slip 1, repeat across row ending knit 1.
• Row 2: Purl all stitches.
• Repeat these 2 rows for the pattern.

For circular knitting, start with any uneven number of stitches:

• Row 1: K1, slip 1, repeat across row ending knit 1.
• Row 2: Knit all stitches.
• Repeat these 2 rows for the pattern.
